Founded in 2018, Egocultum is forged with the idea of growing the national chickpeas production.
Today, leading a network of farming partners, the company provides on one hand a unique chickpeas variety named Casal Vouga, and on the other hand the training and technical support required to grow it. This variety is perfectly adapted to the portuguese climate.
The company buys back the production in order to prepare the product for the food market: sizing, cleaning, packaging. Thus, Egocultum is proud to be able to control the variety quality as well as the production processes.

Since 1982, the Azoia family has cultivated various portuguese chickpeas varieties. Naturally, after decades of cultivation they selected the most generous and resistant seeds to create a unique variety named Casal Vouga.
